The Prejudice: Islam and Terrorism - VAM

Islam as a religion has a very wide difference with what the religion is at the eyes of the world especially those areas affected by rising insecurities and Jihads.

It's no wonder therefore, jihad is part of Islam but not inhuman jihad of killing innocent people. 

Prophet Muhammad lived in misery among his natives but never at once raze Jihad in Mecca, despite the fact that many of his followers were brutally tortured and killed, some were even killed at the market square. 

The ideology of terrorism brought more problems to the religion than any other thing else. Since the incident of September 11, Muslims around the world are being stereotyped as terrorists, and most groups conclude that the religion is a "religion of killing people." 

What is happening afterward has had significant and mostly negative consequences for the Muslim communities in the world, and has set back the process of mutual accommodation between Muslims and Christian populations and the integration of both Islam and Muslims into Nigeria's social, cultural and political landscape.

In the chain of abductions and execution of innocent citizens by Boko Haram, people of goodwill on both sides divide between the Christian and Muslims were filled with deep anxieties. For Christians, it seemed that a dreadful clash of civilizations had become imminent and unavoidable. For Muslims, it was clear that serious injury had been done to them and their friends, 

Just every Innocent citizens in the name of their religion – a wound that Bleeds from two angles. .

 

Many Christians seized on the belief that something feral and evil in the faith of Muhammad had made the killings inevitable. This prejudice was supported by the fact that some actors involved in suicide bombings were Muslims.

Nigeria has the biggest population in the African continent, and large number of Muslims. 

Some Western educated or Western civilized leaders (Prime Ministers or Presidents of countries) regard Nigeria as a heaven and paradise for terrorists and bandits, especially the President of America who recently warned his citizens against many places in Nigeria especially Northern states suffering from insurgency. He also deny residency in America for Nigerians. 

This is because of existing strong Jihadist sec islamic State of West African Province ISWAP and the Boko Haram headed by Shekau, herders killings, the miners killers that takes the giant country trillions of Naira to counter. 

They saw BokoHaram as an anti-christian Crusade terrorists and this was proved by some of the ISWAP, BOKOHARAM bombings and execution of Christians especially the killed CAN chairman of Adamawa. 

Meanwhile, the well-known conduct and words of wisdom among Nigerian Muslims are just a motivation of achievement and teaches the students how to live in dignity. 

A recent attempt of suicide bombing in Kaduna church is good clarification that terrorism has no religion nor tribe.
