2020: Banky Emerges SDP Chairmanship candidate; to challenge APC in Ondo

Mr Akinselure Bankole Banky has been elected the SDP candidate in Idanre local government of Ondo state for the forthcoming local government election.

At a SDP secretariat in Akosile, Idanre held on Friday, Banky defeated other aspirant to clinch the hotly-contested ticket.

He pulled 44 votes to win Prince Olubunmi Dogbajale who had 28 votes.

His victory sets him as the main challenger to Hon. Jerome Akinola Akinsuyi of APC.

Also, One of the chairmanship aspirant contesting for the Social Democratic Party's chairmanship ticket in Idanre Local government of Ondo state, Mr Akintunde Adebiyi A.K.A Energy has stepped down before the primary election, VAM News reports.

It was learnt that the former SDP chairmanship candidate has collapsed his structures in order to support the candidacy of Mr Akinselure Bankole Banky and vowed to work with him to secure the victory for the party in the coming local government election in the state.

Meanwhile, WALEOLA OLOFINTE has been proclaim and pronounce again as the candidate contesting for the post of councilor ALADE-ATOSIN Ward.

While speaking with Olofinte Waleola, he thank everyone who was present to support and also thank those who were not around due to one or other reasons.
