Protest Rocks Ekiti as Government shutdown popular Fayose market 


The marketers, traders of Fayose market in Ado Ekiti on Friday staged a protest over exorbitant tax imposed on them by the Ekiti state government stressing that the bill is too much than they can bear, VAM News reports. 

The angry traders took to the federal roads in Ajilosun to express their dissatisfaction, as a result of which caused gridlock for commuters.

Okada riders and protesting Traders of The Fayose market engage in serous fight which left many of them with injuries over the mounted blocks on the major roads leading to the town by the traders.

VAM correspondent witness that the Nigeria police on ground had a dialogue with the traders union, and they promise to deliver their message to the state governor, Dr John kayode Fayemi. 

The Traders vows to continue with their protest if the state government refuses to listen to their plead.
