NANS Zone D ASG Applauds Seyi Makinde for building capacity from Educational sector

The Assistant Secretary General of the National Association of Nigerian students (NANS), ZONE D, Comrade Ibukun Titilayo Samuel under the leadership of our able and rugged coordinator, Comrade samuel Olawale Kappo applaud the Oyo State Governor, His Excellency on his quick intervention for approving the sum of N200 million for Polytechnic Ibadan to secure accreditation for some of its courses and another sum of 100million to execute capital project in the institution which was disclosed at the 34th convocation ceremony of the institution on Friday in Ibadan.

However,the Governor’s support on Education in the state has been a good move most especially making the Education budget 22% and indeed shows confidence in his ability to deliver student related promises which is also in consonance with our objectives in repositioning, reviving and renewing the dying consciousness of academics and students in our various institutions.

Indeed a giant stride as it one of our core manifesto to all students community across southwest during our campaign and ensuring good education without political interference.

Most importantly, we’re also charging all other states government most especially Ekiti state government to kindly temper justice with mercy on the recent disengagement of EKSU 900 staffs which may suffer the loss of over 50 accredited courses in the institutions and will affect about 1000 students of the institution.

As the university community remain tensed, we implore the Governor of the state to take swift action.

The journey to attaining new possibilities for NANS ZONE D has just begin.
