Mr. Tanko storms Katsina, agitate for immediate release of NCP Katsina State Chairman

Mr. Yunusa Tanko the National Chairman of the NCP and also the presidential candidate of the party in the 2019 polls, storms Katsina State to further advocate for the immediate release of the state chairman of the party, who has been in unlawful detention in the custody of the Police.

Mr. Tanko who arrived Katsina on Thursday alongside Mr. Mall Baffa, the Kano State Chairman of the NCP, Mr. Bala Saad and the party's lawyer are agitating for the release of the party's stakeholder and chairman of the NCP in Katsina State, Mr. Abdulmumuni Sani who is unlawfully detained for expressing his Civic rights and calling on anti-corruption agencies to probe into Gov. Masari's disposition surrounding last September's verdict of the State Governorship election tribunal, which validated the election of Gov. Aminu Masari of the APC.

Since then Sani has being in political persecution all in the defense of our democracy.

"It is unacceptable and it won't stand", Mr. Tanko said.

"On Sunday 10th November 2019, the Katsina State Chairman of the NCP called on my attention as regards to the issues related to the petition of the electoral Tribunal in Katsina, which he stated that there were serious allegations to the Government in connection to bribery.

He did a press conference about the issue which was published in some national dailies, with a receipt attached of allegedly $195,000 which he called for investigations from the ICPC, EFCC and other anti-corruption agencies."

Mr. Tanko said.
