LASU holds Debut Global Challenge; first on record on the African Continent

History made manifest as the Lagos State University Students' Union hosted the first ever Global Challenge and battle of the intellects on Thursday the 24th October 2019, being powered by Onochie Princess a visionary young female leader, passionate nation builder and also the Vice President of the LASU Students' Union.

The epoch making and ground breaking event witnessed overwhelming support and massive participation by the students of the institution; it was educating, informative, impactful and inspiring.

"Indeed, we are levitating with the global standard. Today, the first of its kind LASUSU Global Challenge has come to stay and on record" Comrade Princess added.

The program which was held between Faculties, Schools and Colleges of the University took place at the University's Moot Court, Faculty of Law having two rounds of which the first rounds contains (15) fifteen questions each from global issues ranging from (5) sectors viz (Global Economic, Global Politics and Culture, Global Sports and Entertainment, Global Science and Technology, and Global Higher Education and Research).

At the first rounds having (7) seven faculties, (1) one school and (1) one college. Six (6) qualified to the second round having (6) questions each with College of Medicine being the third position, School of Transport as the second position while Faculty of Sciences being the incumbent Champion of the LASUSU Global Challenge 2019. The winners were rewarded with cash prize of thirty, fifty, and seventy thousand naira.
