Anambra Petroleum Summit: Gov. Obiano Approves 20 Hectares of Land for Petrol Tankers Park

On Wednesday 30th October 2019, history was made manifest as the Anambra State Government hosted the first Petroleum summit in Anambra State.

The Summit which took place at the Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Center Awka, witnessed a large participation of Ndi Anambra; and the donation of 20 hectares of land for petroleum tankers park in the State which saw to the zenith of the summit.

The Governor which was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu announced the approval of the twenty (20) hectares of land for the construction of petrol tankers park in the State.

The epoch making 1st Anambra Petroleum summit organized by the tirelessly working SSA to the Anambra State Government on NUPENG, Petroleum and Union Matters Hon. Comr. Peter Nwosu; which sole objective was to Sanitize the petroleum sector in the State and close the gap between the private sector and the Government regulating agencies, had a lot of stakeholders, players and facilitators in attendance.

The symposium session had the following discussants tackle the existing problems in the petroleum sector in the State: Representative of IPMAN, Rep South East DPR, Comr. Emmanuel Alieto, Rep. NUPENG, State Director of Fire Service, Engr. Martin Agbili, Engr. Linus Ilozue, MD. A-Z Lubricants, Ven. Barr.Amaechi Okwuosa, MD. Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi, MD/CEO Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, Rep of Sector Commander, FRSC, Prof. Solomon, Director, Chisco Institute for Transportation, Rep Standard Organization of Nigeria, etc.

Amb. Timothy Nwachukwu who took the closing remarks and vote of thanks appreciated all the participants, stakeholders, attendees and all who took out time to be part of the 1st Anambra Petroleum Summit

Indeed the Petroleum Summit was ground breaking and a landmark success for the collective progress of Ndi Anambra.
