Kebbi NLC rejects N30,000 Minimum Wage
The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) Kebbi state chapter has kicked against the unilateral decision of the state government over implemention of Minimum Wage.
The joint SEC/NLC/ TUC, after an extensive emergency meeting on Tuesday, said: ” On The issue of N30,000 minimum wage that was viral on the social media, which the Secretary to the State Government issued few days ago, we wish to say that we are not party to it.
“It violates the collective bargaining principles and the NLC hereby disassociates itself totally from the said minimum wage.”
The Organised Labour called on the state government to set up machinery to deliberate on possible implementation of the minimum wage that will be acceptable to parties to ensure industrial harmony.
