Public Speech being delivered by APC Youths Organization convener, Comrade Amb. Ogunolu Samsideen Opeyemi at the International Youths Submit day on Saturday, 17th August, 2019

International Youths Submit Day speech about “The Important Role of Youths in Nigeria governance most especially in APC our party as ruling party” in NUJ Hall Osogbo, Osun State encouraged youths to be an instruments of progress, remember the glory of youth is in our strength.

Permit me to start by giving all praises and adoration to Almighty God, the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the end, the uncreated creature, the only one who gives order but receive order from none.

We give all glory to God on his infinite mercy for bringing us here safe and sound because without him, today's gathering wouldn't have been possible.

Protocol

The chief host of the program, comrade Adams Oshiomole, our amiable National Chairman of All progressive congress (APC), our Royal father of the day, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi Telu, Oluwo of Iwo.

We welcome our special guest of honour, Gov. Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola of osun state, Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq of Kwara state, Gov. Babajide Sanwoolu of Lagos state, Hon mudashir Obasa, Lagos state speaker, Hon. Danladi Soliu, speaker, Kwara state assembly, Hon. Timothy owoeye, speaker, osun state house of assembly, Comr. Lawal waheed, Hon. Lawal Kolade, southwest APC YOUTH leader, Comr. Musbau Esinrogunjo of Kwara state, Comr. Kehinde Ayantunji, NUJ CHAIRMAN, osun state, Hon. Our guest speakers, Hon Tunde Olatunji, chief whip, osun state house of assembly and Comr. Ayantunji Kehinde, chairman NUJ OSUN STATE, I also appreciate others that time won't permit me to mention here, I welcome you all.

Firstly I would appreciate the National Chairman of APC, Comrade Oshiomole for sending the "Support PMB project initiative" (SPPI) National Cordinator, ably represented by Osun state Cordinator, Comrade Ademola to grace our event and

I would like to thank some of the progressives young and astute team who have deemed it fit to make this day a reality. Comr. Odewabi Johnson (Always), Comr. Oluremi Jacob, Comr. Fakindayo, Comr. Adedeji, Comr. Solomon, Comr. Tolu, Kwara state coordinator, Comr. Gbohunmi, Lagos state coordinator, comr. Subtle, Comr. Olorungbotemi(Media Team), comr. Aditu, comr. Odebowale, comr. Kayomide and lots of others for putting up this glorious youth program.

Also a gigantic applause to all of us present here today for being part of this history making and a progressive program among we APC YOUTH.

I am a witness to a very real truth that age plays no factors in world leaders with considerations from all spheres of professionalism.

The major reasons of our gathering here today :

How can we map a well meaning future for ourselves in this country, majorly by having all effective and efficient representation at all levels of government.

This is avenue for us to draw out strategies geared towards creating a new APC YOUTHS vision and productivity.

We young people are at the forefront of change and innovation, and many of us have the spirit to make things happen, we just need to be given the space to participate nor create one to make a difference.

And so we truly need young people's voices, and as a society and a country, I don't think we can survive without truly listening to young people and to develop their skills.

We are gathered here today because :

We believe in the power of young people.

We know that every young person has a potential to fulfil.

And we know that when we recognized our authorities, we can create a better society together.

Gentle men and women, let's make history out of this memorable gathering, let's make APC YOUTH great again.

“You shall not press down upon the brow of labor in the nation; you shall not crucify mankind effort upon a cross of gold,” Ogunolu said in the first sentence of his speech, addressing a progressive youths across the nation.

“I pledge you, I pledge myself, to a new deal for the Youths involvement in government at the various state and federal level by pressing forward to the body responsible for the agenda,” Ogunolu concluded. 

“This is more than a political forum; it is a call to all youths across the Nation and diaspora to awaken the spirit in them to be a profit for this nation, Nigeria and not  minus... Invest in yourself now.

 

 “With the help of God, loyalty from our youths and the wholehearted push which you can put behind this organization, we can save this country from the relm of relegation among the nation, and from misrule of the past.” 

“It is more than a commitment, I accept today. It is a dedication—a dedication to the shining promise of tomorrow,” because it's never convenient when its commitment, Ogunolu said in his conclusion.
