Happy Democracy Day Nigeria and I hope the blame game will stop this time
DEMOCRACY DAY MESSAGE
As a patriotic citizen of Nigeria i wish to felicitate with the President and
Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of
Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari and all
Nigerians on the occasion of Democracy Day
Celebration in Nigeria.
Democracy day in Nigeria is a special public holiday to commemorates the restoration of democracy in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, starting from May 29,1999 when Olusegun Obasanjo was elected the president of Nigeria. Every May 29 Nigeria celebrate democracy day but this year celebration makes a different one entirely due to the fact that it has been shifted to June 12 by the Federal Government.
During this very democratic
era in Nigeria, there has been
comparative improvements in some sectors, but the improvements are far less than the expectations of an average Nigerian.
The majority of
Nigerians are wallowing in abject poverty. There
is a high rate of graduates unemployment. There
is a high degree of insecurity in Nigeria:
kidnapping, bombing, armed robbery, and other
violent crimes.
We can't just continue like this and expect miracles to happen.
All Nigerians should rise to the challenge of
contributing to the sustenance of democracy in
Nigeria. The government at the Federal, State and
Local level should work hard to overcome the
shortcomings of democratic rule so that the
labour of our democracy martyrs would not be in vain.
Freedom is all we need in our hearts, and therefore need all killings and fighting with one another. All the ethnic groups must come together and we need to put a stop to violence.
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
HAPPY DEMOCRACY DAY TO ALL
