Ondo partners German Government to empower 200 unemployed youths, strengthen 100 SMEs

As part of the Commitments of the Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu led administration to create economic opportunities for the local populace, the Ondo State government in partnership with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment is organizing a free employability programme tagged CAREER PATH, aimed at closing the huge employability gap amongst young people within the state.

This opportunity is open to persons living in Ondo State between the ages of 18-35 who intend to kick start and grow their careers. The programme is organized in close coordination and cooperation with employers in the private sector. The Ondo State Office of Innovation and partnerships (ION) and the Nigerian-German Centre NGC also invite SMEs in Ondo state through this medium for a networking session. 

/This will aid in identifying the various areas of need for employers of labour in Ondo State in terms of recruitment and partnerships with international associates through its CAREER PATH employability programmes to bridge the identified gap(s). 

Prospective applicants and SMEs are enjoined to register FREE for the The Ondo State Government and GIZ “Career PATH” program for training and opportunities for paid internship placement. The SME’s Information Session comes up on the 21st of May 2019 while the Internship programme will run from May 23rd - 24th 2019 at a time and venue to be communicated to successful applicants.
