In 2011, A film titled Tribe led to the confinement of filmmaker, Ifeanyi OnyeaboIfeanyi Onyeabo.
He was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over some financial accusations by his partner. The producer was later released after all accusations were discovered to be false.
His partner in the controversial project, Steve James attributed the skirmishes to breakdown of communication between him and the director, stating that they have put the matter behind them.
