Journalist Jones Abiri Grants Bail In Bayelsa
A Court in Yenagoa on Monday has granted bail of Jones Abiri.
VAM News confirmed the Bayelsa-based journalist and publisher who was rearrested on Saturday by officers of the Department of State Services (DSS).
According to his lawyers, Sam Ogala who represented Abiri at the hearing today said he couldn't figure out why Abiri was rearrested
Abiri, publisher of the Weekly Source, a newspaper based in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state, was arrested in 2016 for allegedly being the leader of the joint revolutionary council of the Joint Niger Delta Liberation Force, a separatist group.
Jones Abiri, who was rearrested on Saturday by officers of the Department of State Services (DSS), was charged with treasonable felony.
