The APC Candidate for Ekiti North Federal Constituency 1 in the February 16,2019 general elections, Mr.Peter Owolabi has Congratulated the Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi on his Victory at the Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja and urged the good people of Ekiti State to keep supporting Governor Kayode Fayemi in his efforts to repositioning and restoring the good values of the Ekiti people.

Owolabi said that the judgement had proved that the victory of Fayemi at the poll was the true reflections of the collective will of the people

The gubernatorial candidate of the People's Democratic Party PDP ,Professor Kolapo Olusola Eleka in the July 14 governorship election had filed a petition against the victory of Dr Kayode Fayemi, alleging series of election irregularities and malpractices.

The Ekiti State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal on Monday January 28,2019 ruled in favour of Dr Kayode Fayemi of the APC in a unanimous judgement and struck out Professor Olusola's petitions for lack of merits

With the judgement Dr Kayode Fayemi has been affirmed as the duly elected Governor of Ekiti state.

Mr. Owolabi who hailed the Judgement commended the Judiciary for upholding the People's Mandate , He described the Judgement as the wish of the People.

The House of Representatives candidate also expressed satisfaction in the landmark performances within his first hundred days in office which have convinced the good people of Ekiti State that there is already a paradigm shift in the governance of the state

The politician who is a lawyer by profession said that Fayemi had demonstrated that we don't need a century to effect a change saying that all that is required is effective preparation to provoke unusual transformation.

Owolabi Prays that God Shall continue to help Fayemi in his bids to reclaiming the lost glory, honour and integrity that the Ekiti people were known for which the past PDP government bastardised in its four years of Misrule.
