A message to the Rector, STUDENT MOVEMENT LEADERS and ever DYNAMIC NIGERIA STUDENT✊.

My congratulatory message to the Rector FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC ADO-EKITI, Dr. Hepzibah Oladebeye Dayo who received his letter of appointment early this year, as the new Rector, also as our Alumni PRESIDENT which throw the school into total jubilation as the first INDIGENOUS STUDENT to emerge as The RECTOR...
The Rector whom before his appointment one's serve as the deputy Rector Academic, assumed his new office after the completion of Mrs T T AKANDE'S tenure...!
I will also throw my salute to the STUDENT UNION PRESIDENT- COMR AJAYI OLUWASEGUN aka ALUBARIKA, from the faculty of Engineering, an indigene of ADO EKITI, who is also believed to be the first STUDENT UNION PRESIDENT from the state capital.
For you to contest or aspire for a post, it's demands some level of devotion, selflessness and readiness to serve out of bais mind or favourism of which ever...
In respect to the above congratulatory regards, I will wants to remind and pin point to the student populace and the management of the changes that as taken place in school and the need to remind ourselves of our duties and responsibilities..
Before the assumption of our new Rector
Summary of payment for fresher and
Acceptance fee was 21000
Sch fee was 18250 and 19250 respectively
No late registration of any form was imposed☹
All faculties and departmental fee were within the range of 1000/1500
Hostel fee was 6500 and later increase to 10000....
With this, we still complain about the Unjust payment of certain fees like STUDENT Insurance
ICT poly venture
Bus levy
Eed ( after the payment of 4000 certain unit still request for an uncalled-for payment like those in textile paying for mesh and other materials which will later be retain by the unit)
Fees for satellite was 9500 and 10500 respectively....
Not until the emergence of our new indigenous rector when changes of different sort arose..
His first assignment was to increase the satellite fee from 9500/ 10500 to 15500 and 16500 respectively of which I will say was acceptable by the STUDENT because no one could stand against after just paying for golden chicken😏😏
Not until 5000 late registration came on board, paid into unauthorized account.
I will applause the caretaker committee for their activeness even tho they couldn't scrap the late registration fee but they manage to extend the deadline
All departmental and faculties due arose from 1000/1500 to 2000/2500 respectively.
After couples of months our students election was held and the faculty of engineering produce the new OO1 this time around NIGERIA STUDENT hope finally they have a Legitimate Executives, unknown to them the worse is yet to come....
After releasing the first list of admission, the rector and his cabinet made NIGERIA STUDENT to understand that our tuition fee as been increased to 90000 ( after its was increased from 18250 to 27500) which was later reduce to 5000 after he made the UNION to understand, the management can't afford to reduce it further because
1 Fedpoly ado tuition fee is the lowest amidst it's counterpart
2 Subvention are not coming in from the federal government
3 the school need proper renovation
4 infrastructural Development
And some other conditions without taking the students into consideration even at this yarning economy of recession.
Well it's seems the rector as forgotten his presiding over HND GRADUATE in a FEDERAL INSTITUTION and not a BSE or B-TECH in state institution.
NIGERIA STUDENT, I believe we need to remind ourselves of the purpose of establishing FEDERAL INSTITUTION and the dichotomy between HND Holder and BSE in labour market....
Do we need to make things hard to over 50 million average NIGERIAN, with fact we can't hope on education in our country yet average parents want to send thier children to school.... With a minimum wage of 18000 ( water run away my eyes😓😰)
while some state are still contemplating if they will able to pay the newly approved minimum wage of #30000.....
What are we to write home about🤷🏿♂ after paying such an exorbitant amount of money for our Tertiary institutions hence after completion, do we need to start dragging #30000 as salary after all we've paid to be transformed...
We really need to fight this exorbitant fee, we are paying to get educated thereafter the government is not making provision for employment whosoever, even institutions are not retaining student with best performance unlike before🤦🏿♂.
I believe the UNION PRESIDENT and NIGERIA STUDENT need a reasonable reason for the sudden Increase of the tuition fee, ( unlike the aforementioned) the school exist only because we have pupils, the buildings are not the school but the STUDENT then why making things hard for our average parents.
If indeed the school is financial down, I believe it's expected for the school to increase the number of admitted students and not mandate that the school will only admit those that pick it as thier first choice ( well, I don't have much to say on that because yearly jamb registration is always differ)
And not for the school to just think it's best of them to increase our tuition fee...
Sometimes I wonder if the school belongs to engineering students, because 80 of the buildings in school belongs to them.
It's a big slap on the school management for their nonchalant attitude to BUSINESS STUDENT with no improve theater of learning, most time ENVIRONMENTAL STUDENT collide with other faculties to share a class, yet they keep collecting money from us without proper funding of necessary quarters...
It's now they know the school is not infrastructured to meet the requirements of standard......!
We need to know more about the Subvention that comes from FEDERAL GOVERNMENT to the school, if it's not coming as the rumor carry's it then Mr STUDENT UNION PRESIDENT and Management should do the needful and stop extorting NIGERIA STUDENT unlawfully.....
Moreover we need to know the income for the school aside from the STUDENT income, we can't be left in darkness while the school is claiming our account is financially down.
The school can't just decide they wants to increase hostel fee without proper renovation of the hostels, it's was when The DR was serving as DEPUTY RECTOR ACADEMIC that the RECTOR increased the hostel fee from 6500 to 10000 with report, they will be renovating the hostel which never took place, the DR assume as RECTOR now saying the same thing lolz wanting to increase from #10000 to #26,000. it's can't work, we can't be paying for what we are not enjoying........ (Once bitten twice shy)
In a bid to sublime the executive and the satellite, the management decides not to increase their fee in order not to cause the scene of OCT 6 2017.
I will not but remind us of the illegal extortion of NIGERIA STUDENT through Alumni whose fee varies from 1500 to 2500 and of which your receipt will differ from what you paid, sometimes they collect the money in cash till when shall this continue????
Have been asking my self on the impact of the said Alumni?
When hostel fee was increased...... Nothing
When we paid for golden chicken..... Nothing
Now sudden Increase of all fees yet they did nothing and do you know why because the same person is the head of both bodies...
NIGERIA STUDENT...... I believe we need to remind them of the *ALLI MUST GO STRUGGLE* embark upon by our past UNION Leaders, which is still very much fresh in our memories...
Am not condemning Alumni payment but as a financial member, I need to ask what the money are used for? Never for ones did our Alumni review their income, am pretty sure they don't have any expenditure...
OCTOBER 6 2017 is still very fresh in our memories
When many Fedpoly ado STUDENT became CARRY OVER STUDENT
When many dropped out due to financial issues of paying even more than our tuition fee as reparation fee of which till date, no reparation as been put to place...
Till when shall NIGERIA STUDENT be given their accolades?
Are we still slaves in our land?
We are not agitating for free education but quality and affordable education at all levels!!!!!!
Many years back ago, our famous Indefatigable Leader, leader awolowo declared free education which many of our management enjoyed ( if not )
I will not say the education our Leader pursue in United kingdom was free but he never thought of that, he brought It to his country.
Such legacy are what we should follow and Unjustly and unlawfully extortion of NIGERIA STUDENT....
A struggle for justices calls to all fresher's, satellite( most especially ND2) STUDENT UNION, this is not a fight born out selfish interest but a fight for affordable and quality education......
Our shackles must be broken
Our voices must be heard
Dare to struggle, dare to win
I stand to be corrected
I stand to be summoned
I will also implore all STUDENT BODIES

And all other bodies, just as we shall set to embark on know reduction of our tuition fee from 47000/50000 respectively then no lecture, if the Rector refuse to honour or put the STUDENT into consideration before embarking on such an unlawfully increment!!!
