1. History has not for once expressed to us fundamentalness of assasination. It's assassination, and serves us no good than the way it sounds, assasination.

2. People who have got great dreams and emotions for our nations have one time or the other been assassinated.

Quite a huge number of them who are to place our nations at the height of international recognition and value have been selfishly gunned down. And today it's no an expensive exaggeration to say assasination is one of the mechanical devices that makes the black nations travel at reverse gear.

3. Factors that provoke assassination in our society are as numberless as the grains of sand on a beach. Some of these elements quite observed, with time, are political misunderstanding, social discord, economic distrust, emotional fracas, psychological noise and so on and so forth.

4. The great loss the sudden disappearance of world loved music maestro from South Africa, Lucky Dube has cost and caused African Music Industry and Reggae world as an entity cannot be underestimated.

5. How fearless investigative journalism has disappeared like flame of fire with the callous death of Dele Giwa of Nigeria is not overlookable.

6. While assassination of Thomas Sankara and Patrice Lumumba at Burkina Faso and Democratic Republic of Congo respectively for their will to kick out imperial diadem and colonial influences of black nations is not ignorable. The whitemen had seen reasons to conspire with a few spies they have got amongst us to gun down supposedly stubborn leaders, to render their nations colonizable.

7. If tomorrow headlines read "Woman Hires Gunmen To Shoot Her Fiance For Infidelity", we are not still going to be surprised because we are used to those kinds of headlines, assasination.

It's high time we started reasoning beyond having assasination as the last resort, and more importantly learn to drag issues to court (the last hope of all common men) rather than taking laws into our hands.

For the purpose of this opinion publication, we would not want to be alleged of being sentimental by sounding too much sympathetic only about popular assassinated persons.

This non governmental organisation has just mentioned them as point of reference to earlier claims, and moreso xtray reasons our nations of the black continent have to condemn vigorously assasination.

This NGO has however not negated the fact that many voiceless persons have been murdered and buried, hence remain unheard of. Having said that the black nations have to frown at and condemn vigorously assassination.
