POPULAR OAP, FAYSOL OLUWAKEMI TO HOLD THIRD ANNUAL HEALTH LECTURE

Popular Yoruba On Air Personality and Community Health Advocate, Faysol Oluwakemi will be holding his third annual public health lecture.

The lecture which will be powered by Oluwakemi's NGO, Faysol Oluwakemi Health Care Foundation (FOHCAF International), launched 2015 is the third edition of its kind.

The lecture is themed; ''Cancer: Kill it Before it Kills You'', is an attempt to raise the awareness on cancer especially at the grassroots.

According to the Secretary, Planning Committee of the event, Nurse Oluwabanke Ojo, ''since cancer induced Death Rate in Nigeria is Predicted to Rise to 75% by 2030; all hands must be on the deck to kill this disease before it kills you.''
The event is scheduled for
10AM
on the 1st of October, 2018 at The Western Hall, Oyo State House of Assembly Complex, Secretariat, Ibadan.

Billed as the guest speaker for the event is Dr. Abass Abdul Salam of the Department of Oncology, University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.

The Chief Host/Mother of the Day is the Wife of the Governor, Oyo State, Dr. (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi while Professor Babatunde Salako, the
DG of Nigeria Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) chairs the event.

Also expected at the event are the Hon. Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Joshua Olagunju Ojo, JP, Special Adviser to the Oyo State Governor on Health, Hon. Kunle Jenrade, the Chairman, Oyo State Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Adegoke Adeyemo among others.

Ojo also noted that there will be free Medical Checkup for the first 300 attendees at the event by 8AM.
