2018 Common Entrance Examination: Ondo Govt Releases Results

The Ondo state government has released results of 2018 common entrance examination into public secondary schools in the state.

The examination was conducted last Saturday across the 18 local government areas of the state.

The state government had promised to release results of the examination within 48 hours.

Speaking with Newsmen in Akure, the state capital, the permanent Secretary Ministry of Education, Reverend Akin Asaeniyan said results were released on Monday morning.

" Exactly 9am on Monday morning, the Hon Commissioner approved and we have released the results accordingly and this time around we released 100%, not in piece meal."

He therefore urged parents to visit the ministry's website, www.odsgexams.com for the results.

Rev Asaeniyan said the ministry has taken into cognisance some lapses noted during the examination.

"The lapses will not affect anything at all, because we are going to look at the performance holistically. We are going to constitute a committee, we know how to cope and address the cut off mark in a way that our students will not be deprived." Reverend Asaeniyan said.

About 65 thousand pupils sat for the examination out of about 66,000 that registered.

Checks at Exams and records department of the ministry showed that about 98% of the students passed the examination.

In the meantime, JSS 3 students will tomorrow begin their Junior WAEC examination in the state.

No fewer than 370,000 students will participate across the state.
